TALKTALK TV YOUVIEW BOX FREE
Remember, the list of apps available through set-top boxes is liable to change at any point, especially when these are free apps with little or no subscription content. TalkTalk TV's YouView box can be used to access many popular free streaming services. It also includes the 15 HD channels available on Freeview and the 30+ radio stations able to be listened to live. The standard TalkTalk TV experience is provided by the 80+ Freeview channels available through the YouView box for £4 per month. What content is available with TalkTalk TV? With many homes having streaming sticks, games consoles, Blu-ray players and other devices, purchasing another TV box in this way may not be necessary to watch the content customers want to watch. Multiroom from TalkTalk essentially adds Freeview to another room, along with the ability to access app content from services the household is subscribed to. If the set-top box is more than 3m from the router, a Power Line Adaptor will be required. The second box requires an aerial connection and internet connection in the same way the first box does. There's no way of avoiding the engineer activation charge as it involves the installation of the second box and a Power Line Adaptor.

The second box is £25 to purchase and the customer must pay another £25 for the engineer to come install it, so the upfront costs for this are £50 in total.
TalkTalk TV can be turned into a multiroom service by purchasing a second box and booking an engineer visit to install it. Bear in mind that TalkTalk broadband is on a 24-month contract and that cannot be cancelled early without incurring penalty fees. It's worth noting the minimum commitment for TalkTalk TV is 30 days, and the service can be cancelled with 48 hours' notice at any point after that. There are also paid subscription services that can be integrated with TalkTalk TV's set-top box: Once customers have received their box, they can watch 80 live Freeview channels including 15 in HD along with accessing free streaming services and apps such as ITV Hub, BBC iPlayer and UKTV Play.
This is usually only applied at the check-out stage so customers should be mindful of the overall upfront costs of the service. TalkTalk TV costs £4 per month with £25 upfront for the TV box. It was announced in November 2020 that TalkTalk were scrapping their remaining TV Boosts and moving instead to a system based on Now TV passes. TalkTalk TV used to be a more substantial service, offering TV Boosts to customers that allowed them to access entertainment, sport, kids shows and movies. The YouView box can be paused and rewound for up to 30 minutes to allow for easier and more flexible viewing, and it must be connected to both the TV aerial and the router in order to work. TalkTalk TV allows customers to add a YouView set-top box to their subscription which includes Freeview as standard and can be used to add further subscriptions to apps like Now TV and Netflix. TalkTalk TV is an optional extra for TalkTalk broadband customers on Fibre 35 and Fibre 65 plans.
